Zee
Haag, a native of Tucson, Arizona
was born into the world of gems,
minerals, and fossils as the son
of world renowned mineral
collectors Albert and Bernie
Haag. In the 1950's and 60's they
were responsible for opening many
old mineral pockets
throughout Arizona. As a child,
Zee had many child-hood
adventures exploring old mines
and thus began his lifelong love
affair with minerals. His father,
Albert, worked at local copper
mines and taught Zee and brother,
Robert, how to use explosives and
the basics of underground mining.
As teenagers,they soon took off
on their own--exploring the
mountains, drilling and blasting
in search of rare and elusive
gems and minerals.
After graduating from high
school, Zee moved to Phoenix to
work as a stone cutter with
another mineral dealer and
eventually they formed a
partnership. This was the
beginning of Southwestern
Minerals & Associates:
www.southwesternmineral.com.
By the following year,1977, Zee
had moved back to Tucson and
formed yet another company,which
exists today as ZEE's.
Zee currently travels all over
the world in pursuit of minerals,
fossils, meteorites gems, and a
variety of artifacts, which
eventually make there way to an

at 1 East Toole, Tucson, Arizona.
